Empowered by the MDAG-AI grant, Caction aims to develop AI-driven solutions for service businesses.

Kuala Lumpur, September 17, 2025 – Caction has taken another step closer to its goal of empowering businesses with smarter operations management. The company was recently awarded the Malaysia Digital Acceleration Grant – Artificial Intelligence (MDAG-AI) by the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).

Newly introduced this year, the MDAG-AI grant is designed to support Malaysian digital companies in commercialising AI solutions. It targets high-impact projects aligned with the national AI investment strategy, with a focus on firms operating across the foundational, enabling, and application layers of AI.

John Lee, founder of Caction, attended the Malaysia Digital Xceleration Summit 2025 at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where the Minister of Digital, YB Tuan Gobind Singh Deo, announced the 13 recipients of the MDAG-AI grant. The premier digital tech event brought together government leaders, innovators, and industry players passionate about shaping Malaysia’s digital future.

This recognition is a proud milestone for Caction and validates its mission to help service businesses achieve higher productivity and drive overall profitability through technology. Service businesses—especially those in industries with complex standard operating procedure (SOP) requirements and extensive asset management—can achieve greater clarity and efficiency through streamlined tasks management. Caction equips service businesses with powerful tools—including scheduling, compliance tracking, asset monitoring, and data-driven insights—to help companies reach their full potential.

For example, companies can leverage platform data to gain actionable insights for smarter decisions, such as predicting when critical equipment will likely require servicing to prevent breakdowns and disruptions.

Caction’s journey with MDEC goes back several years, and their support has been instrumental in helping local businesses grow. As a Malaysia Digital Status company, Caction is recognised under MDEC’s flagship program that acknowledges homegrown businesses with the vision and capacity to expand regionally and globally. By creating platforms for companies to showcase their solutions and participate in the country’s digital activities, MDEC has been a consistent partner in the company’s mission to serve service businesses across the region. Receiving this grant marks another step forward in that ongoing collaboration.

Around the world, AI innovation is rapidly reshaping industries and will continue to dominate the future of business. For Malaysia to remain competitive, it is vital that we also embrace and accelerate this transformation. Empowered by the MDAG-AI grant, Caction aims to develop AI-driven solutions that make innovation accessible to all, while considering the complexities of people and the unique character of every business it serves.

Since the beginning, the company has stood for more than just software. Caction’s purpose is clear: to build high-performing businesses by equipping them with the right tools and data-driven insights. This recognition strengthens the company’s commitment to delivering solutions that are practical, impactful, and people-centred.

The achievement belongs to more than the organization itself. It reflects the dedication of the team, the trust of customers, and the collaboration of partners. For employees, it stands as a testament to the passion and perseverance behind every improvement. For customers and partners, it provides reassurance that their trust is well placed.

Looking ahead, the MDAG-AI grant is not an endpoint but a beginning. It opens new opportunities for Caction to push boundaries, help service businesses make sense of their operations, and empower people at every level of an organization to work with greater clarity and confidence.

Gratitude goes to MDEC for this honour, to the Caction team for their commitment, and to customers for allowing the company to be part of their journey. Together, the future of smarter and happier businesses across Asia will continue to be shaped.
